From 2003 to 2006, the Civil Society Index was implemented in Czech Republic by the Czech Republic by the Society Development Foundation (NROS), with the international coordination of CIVICUS. This implementation led to the publication of an analytical country report, presenting the results of the CSI initiative in the country.
An Assessment of Czech Civil Society in 2004: After Fifteen Years of Development
Over that period, the report provides interesting findings on and recommendations for Czech civil society. The Czech Civil Society Diamond visually summarizes the project findings and indicates a relatively balanced and developed civil society sector. It also indicates that civil society is operating in a relatively enabling environment and has a slightly strong structure. Civil society practices promote positive values to a significant extent and its impact on society at large is moderate.
