Innovation awards
The Nelson Mandela-Graça Machel Innovation Awards recognise and support people and organisations developing creative and impactful solutions for a more just world and a positive impact on citizen rights.
The 2024 Innovation Awards marks two decades of celebrating citizens and organisations that are making a difference in the world.
Crisis Response Fund (CRF)
CRF provides urgent funding to civil society activists facing crises in freedom of assembly and association for advocacy and to proactively build resilience against threats to civic freedoms.
CRF advocacy or resiliency grants last 3-6 months and is up to US$10000.00 (for individual applicants) and US$20000.00 (for two or more applicants).
CIVICUS Solidarity Fund (CSF)
CSF is for CIVICUS members struggling to access resources and support due to restrictions. It aims to build alliance-wide solidarity, civil society diversity and resilience, and create new opportunities for justice, inclusion, and sustainability.
CSF grants are for up to 12 months and funding provided will be between US$1000 and US$10000.
Donor Finder
Donor finder is a directory of progressive donors supporting activists, civil society organisations and small, informal civil society groups.
You will find two separately curated lists. The first is for projects that are non-urgent in nature. The second rapid response directory helps civil society find support in defending against or mitigating threats, emergencies, and risks.
