Nous, organisations de la société civile, parmi lesquelles des organisations faîtières du monde entier, sommes unies dans notre condamnation de l’agression militaire de la Russie contre l’Ukraine, qui constitue une grave violation du droit international. Nous déplorons les attaques ciblées des forces armées russes contre la population civile et les infrastructures, qui constituent des crimes de guerre.
Nous restons profondément préoccupés par la duplicité du gouvernement russe, qui a menti à la communauté internationale sur les intentions qui sous-tendent le renforcement de ses capacités militaires avant l’invasion de l’Ukraine. Nous reconnaissons qu’il existe en Russie de nombreuses voix de la conscience qui s’opposent à la guerre de Poutine contre l’Ukraine. Nous déplorons les attaques menées par le régime nationaliste extrême de Poutine contre la société civile, les médias indépendants, l’opposition politique et d’autres acteurs qui expriment leur dissidence de manière démocratique face au régime de Poutine.
Nous reconnaissons que Poutine a déclenché une crise humanitaire d’une ampleur phénoménale. Son régime porte la responsabilité de la mort de milliers de personnes et du déplacement de millions d’autres, ce qui pourrait relever de crimes contre l’humanité. Nous demandons la fin de l’agression militaire des forces armées russes et leur retrait d’Ukraine. Nous demandons la fin des activités des acteurs étatiques et non étatiques qui pourraient profiter à l’infrastructure militaire et aux forces d’occupation russes.
Nous croyons que le peuple ukrainien a le droit souverain de vivre en paix et de décider de son avenir. Nous appelons les membres de la communauté internationale à faire preuve de solidarité avec le peuple ukrainien et à demander des comptes pour les violations du droit international humanitaire et des droits humains qui ont été commises. Nous appelons à intensifier les efforts de paix afin de mettre fin au conflit et de permettre au peuple ukrainien de reprendre une vie normale en paix.
