One of the basic functions of every government is to provide accessible and quality education for its citizens. However, the reality is unfortunately different. In rural areas in Philippines, children do not receive quality education. It’s also especially difficult for people in rural communities to hold the government accountable and demand for their rights to be fulfilled.
CheckMySchool is an app designed to empower citizens so that they can call for a better public service delivery in the education sector. It provides people with information regarding the government agency mandated to address particular school issues and allows local communities to participate in schools’ governance processes.
