Strengthening Accountability and Governance within CSOs in Nepal

The Workforce Diversity and Internal Control System in NGOs Survey Report 2017 aims to expose the situation of inclusiveness and internal control practices in NGOs in Nepal. The survey analysed the workforce diversity and internal control systems within NGOs, and improved the institutional governance and management of NGOs, including revising code of conduct policies.

Findings include the diversity within:

  1. General membership
  2. Executive boards
  3. Staff
  4. Other positions
Exploring a new horizon to work on improvement of governance in NGOs helps to promote the Istanbul Principles of CSO Development Effectiveness in Nepal; the results of the survey are very encouraging and they give positive sign to improve the credibility and pubic trusts in society
